Example conversation. The businesses, customers and times are made up.

A homeowner with hail damage calls three roofers. Nobody picks up. The first one to get back to them gets the inspection.

Most text-back tools stop at “Sorry we missed you.” Jobline keeps the conversation going until the job is on your calendar.

From missed call to booked job

      1. They reach out and you can’t answer

A call while you’re up a ladder. A quote form left at step two. A “how much?” under your Facebook post.

      2. A text goes out within 2 minutes

In your business’s name, from a local number. It asks what they need, answers the basics and offers your open times.

      3. The job lands in your calendar

With the address and what they need. You get a heads-up text, and you can jump into any conversation.

Everything after the missed call, done for you

Not an app to learn. We set it up, write it in your words and run it. Here’s what it looks like.

Jobs booked into the calendar you already use

Google Calendar or Cal.com. Every booking carries the job type, address and the customer’s words, so you know what you’re walking into.

      • Only offers times you’ve left open
      • Reminder text the night before
      • A text to you when something books

Google reviews, asked for and answered

When a job is done, the customer gets a short text with your review link. When a review comes in, a reply is drafted for you to approve.

      • Reply drafts in your voice, never posted without your OK

Thanks for having us out today, Dana. If we did right by you, a quick Google review helps a small crew like ours a lot: g.page/r/prairie-roofing

      Reply drafted for you

Thanks Dana, glad we could get the roof sorted before the snow. Call us anytime the eavestroughs need a look.

      A good fit if

      • You miss calls because you’re on the tools.
      • Quote requests come in after hours and wait until morning.
      • You know you should post your work but never get to it.

      Probably not for you if

      • Someone in your office already answers every call, every time.
      • You’re fully booked and don’t want more work right now.

      Questions

What is missed call text back?

When a call to your business goes unanswered, the caller gets a text from your business within minutes. With Jobline, that text starts a real conversation: it asks what they need, answers the basics and books them into a time you’ve left open.

Do I keep my phone number?

Yes. Customers keep calling the number they already have. Calls you miss forward to a local text line we set up, and we walk you through the change with your phone provider.

What does the text say after a missed call?

Something short, in your business’s name, like: “Hi, it’s Prairie Roofing. Sorry we missed you, the crew’s on a job. What can we help with?” You approve the wording before anything goes live.

      Is this an answering service?

No. Nobody answers the phone for you. Instead of a stranger taking a message, your customer gets a text right away and can book a time without waiting for a call back. If you already use an answering service, it works alongside it.

      Will customers know it’s automated?

It doesn’t pretend to be you. Messages are short, plain and sent in your business’s name. If someone asks something it can’t answer, it tells them you’ll follow up and texts you the question.

Which calendar does it book into?

Google Calendar or Cal.com. It only offers times you’ve left open, and you choose the hours and the kinds of jobs it can book.

      Who does it text?

Only people who contacted you first: a call, a quote form, a comment or a message. Every message says who it’s from, and anyone can reply STOP. No cold texts and no bought lists.

What if I want to answer myself?

Jump into any conversation at any time. Once you reply, it steps back.

Do I have to do anything for the posts and reviews?

Have the crew text in photos from the job, before and after if they can. We write and schedule the posts, send the review request after each job and draft replies for you to approve.

      Where do you work?

Winnipeg first, then the rest of Canada, then the US. If you’re somewhere else, sign up anyway and we’ll tell you when it’s your turn.

      What does it cost?

Price is shared one on one, before you commit to anything. There’s no public price yet because we’re setting it with our founding clients. No payment details are needed to get early access.
